Morgan McSweeney, senior adviser to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, has resigned.

The resignation comes after being implicated in the appointment of Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the US.

Peter Mandelson was ousted in September over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, an American financier and convicted pedophile.
